LIVE EVENTS
Community is one of the most influential aspects of civic engagement work. One of our goals is to create a vibrant community of engaged Americans. We will host live events (virtual and in-person) to build that community one by one.
“The Civics Institute Founder, Patrick, spoke to our activism group a few months ago, and he helped us find our focus. He talked about identifying the issues that are most important to us as a group, and he helped us establish next steps in advocating for the changes we would like to see. Patrick helped me understand that it’s important to pay attention to—and participate in—local government. I had not realized how much change is generated at the local level, and I will never again overlook local politics.
Patrick gave us resources of other local activism groups that we could work with to achieve our goals, and he took the time to explain the function of each one. He also spent time explaining the system of local politics, which I had never fully understood before. I walked away with confidence that I can be an effective agent for change in my community!”
